Job Objective
Assistant Manager Compliance Monitoring will be responsible for executing and maintaining bank wide compliance program, including On-site and Off-site Compliance Risk Assessments/ documentation and reporting based on overall scope of compliance.
Responsibilities
1. Compliance Monitoring:
- Developing, updating and reviewing risk based compliance monitoring plan. Developing and maintaining Compliance Control Self-Assessment in line with applicable laws and regulations and Khushhalibank internal policies and procedures to evaluate the significant areas, perform this activity on ongoing basis to reduce the gaps to eliminate significant risk areas specifically focusing on AML/CFT.
- Off-site review and verification through CSAs. Carrying out on-site review and verification through visits to branches/departments on the sample basis of high risk areas, collation and analysis of information for compliance risk assessments with specific focus on AML/CFT.
- Monitoring of operations in order to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and reporting of results to line management for taking up with relevant departments for corrective actions. On a pro-active basis, identify, document and assess the compliance risks associated with the bank’s business activities.
- Highlight any regulatory breech and to help improve process for better control and efficiency.
2. Compliance Training:
· Assisting in the development and implementation of compliance training framework.
· Planning and executing training for all KMBL staff to cover all significant areas specifically of AML/CFT.
· Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures.
3. Internal Control:
- Assisting in pro-actively identifying and assessing internal control deficiencies and makes recommendations to senior manager as to the appropriate classification of severity of and the appropriate actions to re-mediate any deficiencies.
4. Other Assignments:
Assisting in coordination during SBP Inspections and any other tasks/Assignment as and when entrusted by Management
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Finance/Economics/Commerce from an HEC recognized / overseas institution.
Skills:
- Have adequate knowledge of legal, regulatory and mandatory requirements of the bank.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Well organized with good analytical and teamwork skills.
- Willing to travel and relocation.
- Should possess strong communication skills and have the ability to communicate effectively in writing.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure, as well as maintain a professional attitude and smart personal appearance, is also required.
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications and inclined towards working in a technology-driven environment.
- Exhibits and upholds KMBL’s values and social performance objectives.
Duration and Nature of Previous Experience:
- 3-4 years working experience in banking/compliane/audit & accounts in large domestic or corporate/multinational organization with good knowledge of prevailing banking laws.
