The Subject Specialist cum Hostel Warden is responsible for ensuring academic excellence and a safe and secure environment for students residing in the hostel. They will be responsible for managing and coordinating academic activities for a particular subject and supervising the hostel staff to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the hostel operations.
Subject Specialist:
· Coordinating with the academic team to ensure that the syllabus for the specific subject is covered on time.
· Developing and implementing effective teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience of students in the subject.
· Conducting regular assessments and evaluations of students' academic progress and providing feedback to teachers.
· Organizing academic workshops and seminars to improve the quality of teaching in the subject.
· Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of trends and developments in the field of the subject and sharing it with the academic team.
Hostel Warden:
· Managing the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and functional.
· Ensuring the safety and security of students in the hostel.
· Addressing any complaints or issues raised by students in the hostel.
· Maintaining records of hostel occupancy and overseeing the allocation of rooms to students.
· Ensuring that the hostel rules and regulations are followed by all students.
· Other duties:
· Liaising with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their ward's academic progress and welfare in the hostel.
· Collaborating with other departments and staff members to ensure the smooth functioning of the institution.
· Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Science English or a related field.
· Prior experience in a teaching or hostel management role would be an advantage.
· Strong organizational and administrative skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to handle emergencies and stressful situations with tact and composure.
