Job Description

The Chief Medical Officer is a key member of the Senior Executive team, engaged in defining the overall business strategy and direction of the organization in the field of m-health Services. CMO is responsible for revising, monitoring, and implementing all medical protocols, policies and procedures to assure compliance with privileging, licensing and accreditation standards. The position provides medical oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the delivery of affordable quality healthcare services. Responsibilities also include working with the CEO Pakistan on strategic implementation of m-health services.

Responsibilities

  •  Performing administrative duties and risk management.
  •  Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
  •  Contributing clinical expertise to patient care and providing guidance to junior physicians.
  •  Managing allocated budgets and identifying areas of improvement in m-health portfolio.
  •  Developing and delivering training to existing and newly onboard medical officers.
  •  Lead and implement the m-health services for the organization.
  •  Oversee medical care and ensure medical treatment services are properly implemented.
  •  Handle coordination activities associated with diagnostic information.

Job Description

  •  Review, create or amend policies and procedures to improve program quality and effectiveness.
  •  Provide guidance and expertise to management and other physicians.
  •  Develop and implement strategic goals related to m-health quality improvement, management programs and accreditation standards.
  •  Develop appropriate guidelines for staff so that they can prioritize work activities.
  •  Ensuring QA of the services through random call/video/sms monitoring.
  •  Generating backup pool for MOs & Specialists
  •  Forecasting & scheduling resources as per business requirement.
  •  Incorporating global guidelines e.g. NHS, Nice etc.
  •  Suggesting and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge, improve and maintain performance of the unit.
  •  Reporting to senior management, as well as liaising between administrative and medical staff.
  •  Ensuring consistent and accurate medical recordkeeping practices.

Requirements:

  •  A current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Pakistan.
  •  A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  •  Knowledge of managed healthcare systems, medical quality assurance, and quality improvement.
  •  Advanced knowledge of medical research methodology and ethics.
  •  Strategic and innovative thinker with a proven ability to communicate a vision and drive results.
  •  Excellent project management skills.
  •  Demonstrated management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to solve problems and execute on initiatives.
  •  Ability to work collaboratively internally and externally.
  •  Self-assured and results oriented.
  •  Must be proficient on MS Office, e.g. Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc.
  •  Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
