Responsibilities

·         Delegate tasks to FOH staff and supervise their performance

·         Develop and lead team members, train and orient new staff

·         Manage dining reservations

·         Maintain shift roster and schedules and shift coverage

·         Help staff resolve on-the-job challenges

·         Balance the cash register at the end of the shift

·         Exceptional skills at ensuring guest satisfaction and gracefully handling complaints.

·         Open or close the restaurant as per shift

·         Daily reporting and documented handing over at the close of shift.

·         Report maintenance and training needs

·         Audit inventory levels to ensure product availability, and order products as necessary.

·         Management and leadership skills to coordinate daily in front of the house and back of the house restaurant operations.

·         Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation; clean restaurant.

·         Ensure a well maintained and courteous restaurant environment

Experience

·         Experience as a Shift Manager or relevant role in a restaurant

·         Good knowledge of restaurant operations

·         Availability to work different shifts, including weekends

·         Basic knowledge of documenting and generating shift reports

·         A customer service approach with the ability to manage complaints with professionalism

·         Excellent organizational skills

·         Team management abilities
